Florence Farms Nursery

About

Before Arizona was a state, Florence Farms was flourishing as the first brick yard in Arizona. The unique high quality soil that today grows the finest tress, shrubs, and vegetables was the site where the red bricks used in the old Pinal County Courthouse and the Presbyterian Church as well as many homes in Florence and surrounding areas.

The families who milked cows, grew their gardens and raised their families at Florence Farms have deep roots in the history of Florence. The Smiths, Langs, and Rankins all were instrumental in developing Florence into a thriving community on the Gila River.

Fast forward to the 21st century when the Christ family acquires 60 acres for the development of a nursery and to help preserve the agricultural history of Florence. By 2007 Florence Farms consisted of 30 green houses and 40 acres of premium trees and plants. The lakes and gardens areas feature a variety of plants enjoyed in Arizona during all seasons.

The nursery and vegetable green houses are built around a 100 year old barn where beautiful weddings and wine tastings occur on a year around basis.

At Florence Farms we are passionate about our plants and our employees are the most knowledgeable in the industry. When you sample our vegetables you will know you have found a special place.

Please visit us during our business hours or schedule a tour and private wine tasting for parties of 10 or more.
